Hey all,

I just wanted to pick your brains on improving my upcoming trip with family. I'll be arriving at LAX around noon, and I'll be there from Wednesday to Saturday. I'm thinking of staying at a Marriott property to take advantage of the Mega Miles promotion (is there a particular location that would be convenient to the attractions that I am planning? Currently I'm thinking of these sites to check out along with a studio tour:

* Getty Museum/Villa (I understand the admission is free, parking is not. Is there a shuttle that I can take that will go to both areas, or is it easier just to repark?)
* La Brea Tar Pits (is this worth going to or the Natural History Museum would be more enjoyable?)
* Griffith Park Observatory
* Huntington Library
* Also a studio tour (I'm looking at WB/Paramount/Sony (I think the NBC one is currently closed if I read the link correctly).

In addition, my family would like to check out Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and maybe Koreatown as well.

Currently, here's a rough estimate of my itinerary:

Arrive Wednesday at LAX (noon)
Find a rental car -> (I need to further investigate which company has a good deal right now, but is there easy access to rental car companies outside LAX? Or just easier to get one from the airport rental?)
Grab lunch, I'm thinking some good ramen followed by La Brea Tar pits.
After la brea, head towards either Chinatown/Little Tokyo/Koreatown for dinner and a little walking around.
Head back and check into hotel.

Thursday morning.

Breakfast (If anyone has some good recommendations, currently we had a blast eating at HK style cafes so maybe one of those places for a quick breakfast or some good congee).
Getty Center/Villa
Following that, I presume it will be in the afternoon/towards dinner time.
Find some dinner
Griffith Observatory.

Friday

Breakfast (Something warm)
Studio tour (Any recommendations? I haven't been to any unless you count the little Universal Studio Tram ride)
Lunch
Huntington Library
Dinner

Saturday

Breakfast Dim sum at Din Tai Fung (might interchange with Friday since it might be less crowded)
Lunch
Early dinner
Flight at 9pm (so arrive at LAX ~7)

Wouldn't mind if someone poked a few holes in something I omitted. I think we will be avoiding Disneyland/Universal this time visiting.
