Perhaps you would be so kind as to point out for everyone's benefit where we may read about this alleged "darkened cabin policy" on Air Canada's website or within any AC publications.

It really would be most useful to those of us who object to such alleged blanket policy when talking to AC.

As to being an"entitled tourist" - well that's your opinion.

And as for being a "cranky minority" - I beg to differ.

I could of course reverse your comment to imply that an occasional frequent flyer with status seems to feel that his/her needs or preferences pre-empts all others!

Live and let live!!!

Let those in A and K who want the shades open leave them so. Those who want them closed can close them.

As to the 787. No one is going to be entirely happy as they do need shades on polar flights because of the low sun angle.
