I just completed a stay. Since rooms were costing > $300/night, I thought that 50,000 points were a reasonable use of points.

No problems with the hotel, although it is closing on May 1, 2014. The pool was heated and the hot tub was enjoyable in the 60 degree nights.

I called the day of arrival and asked for an upgrade to a room with a view. As a Diamond is was able to get an Ocean view, however I was only staying 2 nights.

Continental breakfast was included for golds and diamonds, for 2 persons. There was enough food for me, however Mrs upgraded to the full breakfast for 5 dollars. The upgrade included made to order omelets.

I am sure there are more luxurious Cat 9 hotels, however a nice beach in the winter is what I was looking for.
