The reason they seem to have a perpetual sale is because only about 20% of their stock is on sale at any point in time so they can rotate the "sale" stock every month or so and still remain within the letter of the law regarding the goods previously sold at a higher price.
This figure of around 20% is based on their total stock lines, the shops usually do not carry the full item range so it appears that a larger overall range is on sale.
I have also noticed that some sale item would only fit in with the colour scheme of a mid-70's aircraft interior.
