If so, do you know for sure that AA was is a position to confirm you in J on BA (because that's what BA told them), or that AA was perhaps 'trying to get you off their hands by sending you to BA and hoping they would accommodate you'?
I guess the crux is the interraction you had (when, and with whom) that led you to believe you had a confirmed seat in J on BA
In the other thread, the OP confirmed he had a 'confirmed' seat. I've already suggested a possible explain action above. Regardless, if he was re-booked and confirmed on BA, the 75% refund enshrined in EU legislation stands. It's a fairly cut and dry story, and discussing the AA-BA dimension won't help the OP. If it's a failure of the GDS, the airlines need to take it up with their respective suppliers. Regardless, the OP based on what he/she had presented is due the compensation.
