During my past trips to Paris, I've stayed at the following hotels:

- Prince de Galles (Starwood)
- Holiday Inn Paris-La Villette
- Hilton CDG Airport
- Courtyard CDG Airport

Price de Galles might be too expensive for your budget (I've only used points there), but I found the Holiday Inn Paris-La Villette to be a good deal. It's a brand new modern "American" hotel that offered rates including full American style buffet breakfast. It's not in walking distance from any main attractions but it's across the street from the métro station. Hotels at the CDG airport aren't very practical unless you're flying out early the next morning.
