Here for 3 nights now, starting today. Not very impressed. The buildings looked so nice from outside, but was really dissappointed when I entered the hotel. Interior and rooms are old and tired....makes me think about the poor old Sheratons in Tel Aviv and Tbilisi....and Beijing Great Wall Sheraton....and Sheraton Brussels....hehe.
I got a room on the 26th floor in the south tower, right next to the 2nd floor of the club lounge. Very convenient. Speaking about the lounge - it is pretty well stocked. During "happy hours" there are two hot dishes, and loads of cold cuts, cheese, etc, etc. Refilled frequently. Have to pay for alcohol, like others have pointed out. A beer is like 5-6 CAD. The problem is that the lounge is not a very comfortable place to sit. The old tatty chairs and glass tables from the 80s makes it very uncomfortable to sit there, so I skipped alcohol. I wish they could put in some comfortable loungers and sofas, would be nice to have an icecold beer while taking in the view. I have no idea why they haven't done this. There is a bar in the North Tower though. But would rather go to any of the other bars in the immediate area.
They said my room was a suite, if so it is a very tiny suite. Some sort of divider in the middle of the room, making this one of the smallest suites I have seen. Even for a standard room it would be average. The decor is very tired and out of date
The staff is great though

I did a BRG of 104 CAD per night, compared to SPG's 180 CAD per night. I would never pay 180 CAD to stay here. Then I would rather go to one of the nicer hotels in Vancouver, and pay a little bit extra.
Really a run of the mill average bland Sheraton. But grab it if you find a low price, and staff do their best to please you
