recent situation with a Superbowl reservation. I was emailed by the property with new reservation terms. They didn't actually change the terms though.

Often times, I book my own stays for conventions. They may not have rooms left at the convention rate. My deal may be better. Never encountered this. I think you are on solid ground. You have received some good advice. I would like to know what the follow up is and which property.
