Chase cards have other uses than just the devalued UA miles your referencing. Sapphire transfer to other partners including Hyatt which is my main reason for using the card which has a higher earning potential than the Hyatt Visa.
I don't agree that Hyatt is a better choice than devalued UA miles. UA was way better than Hyatt prior to the devaluation. Afterwards, both options stink except in special cases like booking hotels in areas with poor availability on Priceline and airbnb (this is quite rare) or when flying economy with good use of open jaws and stopovers in multiple regions.
The only good thing about UR is the ability to get 5x UR with Ink, which can be redeemed for greenbacks instead of devalued virtual currency.
