The once this year that Chase uses the 5% on the Freedom card I use it for dining(in the past it's often been twice a year). Otherwise the Forward works great.
Chase has more options and is easier to understand but after working to learn Citi the Premier/Prestige also has many options. This way I get 1.25 on my 5% or 6.75, more than 3X's than just using CSP 2.14. Freedom and Forward are good options for more points. I still use my CSP for other purchases because of the year end bonus. So far I've had Citi and Chase waive most or all of my renewal fee on the premium cards by calling them. Threads on waiving annual fees is worth reading also.
