For a small town in the middle of nowhere, Valentine actually has a few attractions. The Prairie Club has 36 holes of golf and is regularly ranked as one of the best golf resorts in the country by various golf magazines. And, there's a casino about 10 miles away, and just over the border into South Dakota, in Rosebud. The hotels in Valentine probably get a good bit of overflow business as a result.
