Looking for clarification of a post over on the excellent Head for Points.

I am planning another trip to Tokyo later in the year and as has been suggested I plan to route LHR AMS LHR NRT LHR LGW AMS.

However I was a bit put off by the thought of having to carry my luggage from AMS arrivals to AMS check in. Over on H4P it mentions checking in bags just for the LHR NRT portion. Is it possible to do this? If not would they entertain checking my bags on two tickets ie a reward flight to AMS followed by the AMS LHR NRT on the same returning aircraft?

I'm sorry if this is a bit Double Dutch but hopefully someone can understand what I'm getting at!

Ian

Apologies for the awful Double Dutch pun there, I only just saw it when I thought of something else.

Wouldn't it be impossible for the bags to be off loaded/reloaded in AMS anyawy, so question is probably irrelevant I suppose?
