Myself and my travel companion have been waitlisted on a SFO-LHR flight next month for FIVE MONTHS. No R space has ever opened up, despite only 6 seats out of 40 being taken.
It really is getting stingy and ridiculous.
See, waitlisting hasn't been that uncommon, I get it. But they can't release one seat, two seats, a month before departure? The old UA would have.
Sorry, it's just frustrating.
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad it's only booked 6/40 and I know the upgrade will happen eventually barring lots of last minute bookings. But why does their inventory management system not release R inventory maybe one or two when only 6 bookings have occurred in J on this flight in the last 6 months?
