I was also plat upgraded to just an executive room this week, even though the hotel was not especially busy. I was alone and just there for one night, so didn't question it.

I agree on the comment from an earlier post that the room is very hot - I stayed in February but it was impossible to get the temperature down at all. I also had a couple of minor but slightly annoying service issues - no bottled water in the room after asking twice, 40 mins to wait for a room service dessert.

The drink prices in the jazz bar are very high - I guess a reflection of the fact that a lot of their guests are business customers/congress attendees (it's opposite the Palais de Congres). I can recommend the mixed Tapas though - it's 9 euros (basically the same price as a water), quite big and comes with some nice bread.

The breakfast was fine but unexceptional.
