Thanks, that was the post I read that started my quest for HH points.
I wasn't bothered after the devaluation when everyone else was crying because the HH site still listed the AI properties as 60K. I guess it was just a matter of time...so now a 10 day stay will cost an extra 100K....oh well looks like I need to get a couple more HH credit cards.
I have enough to try 5 days at Rose Hall Jamaica, and stay at my usual place the rest of our trip...from what I read on trip advisor the rest of their AI resorts are pretty bad....even Rose Hall gets complaints about selling day passes to cruise ship passengers that want to use the pool. I will check the cruise schedules and try to pick the least populated days to try it out. I was excited because I used to use Choice hotels partner, Barcelo' for AI stays but they discontinued that relationship....now Hilton seems to be the only chain with AI properties that you can book with points.
