I have a Stealth 26". It's a the worst suitcase I've ever owned. After 1.5 yrs it's had a (1) broken wheel (2) broken wheel bracket (3) busted top handle (4) busted side handle (5) smashed lock. Besides the ridiculous scratches and minor dents I've lost all confidence that it can be taken on a trip without damage. I've seen exploded bags coming of the turnstile and I don't want to be one of those people with my belonging strewn across the baggage area….

I have had numerous conversations with customer service at Rimowa expressing my disappointment over the (lack of) quality of their suitcase. They essentially didn't care. Wouldn't give me a refund or exchange after 4 trips of the service center. They kept insisting I should be pressing the airlines for compensation.

On the other hand, I have a Tumi International roll-aboard that's logged at least a million miles over 6 years and nothing wrong with it. It gets checked 5-10 time a year and everything works flawlessly. It is heavier, but I can count on it. The Rimowa can't be counted on for anything but "placing" it in the back of a car trunk. Don't ever buy Rimowa.
