I'm trying to book two different Economy return tickets from YEG-MNL for travel in Feb and Mar. I want to use CX from YVR and into MNL.

1) For both tickets none of the fares showing on ITA Matrix can be found anywhere online or by my TA.
2) While talking to my TA on the phone, the fare for one ticket was fluctuating by-the-minute by several hundred dollars. It was $1628, then it was $1950, and before we ended the call it was back to $1628.
3) For my ticket, I requested V-class to and envoked seat guarantee to get the lowest price. However, my bosses ticket is showing M-class and it is calculating CHEAPER by almost $200.00. The YEG-YVR domestic flights all seem to have capacity so I don't see how this would be affecting things.

What is going on?! I am cringing at the prices I am being quoted. What is normally $1400-$1500 might be $1800+. I can see the CAD dollar and fuel causing some recent adjustment, but not by that much.

Both reservations are on hold but not ticketed yet. I need to get them paid but I am so perplexed about what is going on and do not want to overpay.
