Post Accident at Changi Airport Terminal 2

From ChannelNewsAsia:

SINGAPORE: Changi Airport has closed a section of the Terminal 2 transit hall after a vehicle used to tow aircraft hit a pillar on Thursday.

The food kiosk section, which is located just above the pillar, has been closed as a safety precaution and to facilitate repair works, the Changi Airport Group (CAG) said in a statement.

It will be reopened only upon completion of the repairs and confirmation that it is safe to do so.

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and has received treatment at the airport clinic.

CAG said its engineers found no immediate risk to the overall structure of the building and that flight operations have not been affected.
