@Dinko: To stay on track, it's an impossible question to answer, only you know the answer to it. If the *G is important for you, then plan ahead and make sure you fulfill it. As Elite, you get double miles in TK business class (all booking classes), so a cheap business ticket might be good. It all depends on what you value most. Your spending or your time.

I'm doing my 25,000 miles next week with a 900 euro ex-CAI Business Class fare to KUL return. Plus an extra 250 euros or so to position to Cairo (on TK as well).
Is *G worth the money or the time? Probably not... But it's a cheap holiday with the side benefit of getting me *G through 2017. (plus some cheap hotels out in Asia for the various hotel promos)
Perhaps you can find similar that fits what you want to do, without needing a pure MR...
