If you pack really well and stuff all the corners, I'd say go with Baseline. The compressor feature isn't as useful cuz a well packed bag won't go down that much in the first place. If you pack somewhat loose and not very organized than Trescend is better cuz you can actuall pack more in there. Laying the two bags on its back (meaning you are looking at the longer side) you will see that Trensend has a curvature from bottom to top. This a hugely advantageous because the overhead bins are not rectangular. In fact you can stuff it way beyond 9 inch depth and still have it fit in the bins no problem.

As for the fabric baseline is better cuz its a tougher fabric. Yes they have the same warranty but unless you got a Briggs repair center near you, there is shipping charge you gotta pay which can run above $35. Furthermore It takes them a while to fix the bag. which is a hassle you don't want to deal with.
