Good news, they are changing!
I have refused to eat Hampton breakfast for quite sometime because of the 'eggs'. I once emailed HH about the eggs and they asked "which Hampton was this at?" I responded, "it doesn't matter! They are all the same!"
Now, fast forward to last week. Stayed at Houston Deer Park Hampton. Nice property and nice employees. They even brought in real donuts from somewhere, so that's what I ate instead of the 'eggs'.
Then, on the last day, at the end of breakfast, I'm the only one in there and the GM walks over to me. He starts to tell me about the complaints and stuff and says that Hampton is testing out new breakfast items, and asks me to try them out. I'm like 'yeah right. I'll try it, but I'm not hopeful.'
He says he eggs are now refrigerated eggs, the sausage is turkey sausage, and the bagel toppers will have less sodium. I try the egg omelet and turkey sausage. Again, I am very doubtful.
Surprise, it is GOOD! Not great, HGI breakfast is still more awesome, but it is edible. Way edible!
I emailed HH to tell them thank you and to tell them how much I appreciated the GM randomly coming over to tell me.
I asked what the timeframe was on full implementation to all Hamptons, but of course they didn't answer that question.
I'm excited! I really like Hamptons because of price and availability, this new edible breakfast is a big addition.
We should use this thread to report Hamptons that have converted to new eggs.
