Thanks for the mention. I too had the agent state that I had an AeroPlat 2 for 1 and a VIPP 2 for 1. I burned through those awards immediately with some dates already in the back of my mind when I called. I learned long ago to earn and burn.
I've switched to Infinite from VIPP the first day I received the card. I received 8 lounge passes as VIPP package was sent to me twice. I'm just hanging into the VIPP until TD boots me, and then I'll activate the Infinite Card. Once the Infinite card is activated, I'm wondering if an Infinite 2 for 1 will appear in the AE account? My inquiring mind would like to know.
I think you would need to activate and then use your TD Infinite card at least once to trigger the 15,000 Aeroplan points - 2 for 1. But then it depends on who is processing your paperwork at TD - no consistency. And then see if the points show up on your first statement post activation.
A young woman I know just took out the TD Aeroplan card for the 2 for 1, planning to use it on United to New York - and figured taxes would be payable on only one ticket - and that both she and her companion could each check a bag and enter the lounge. I broke the news to her..... She also had to sign up for Aeroplan.
