I'm sure most of us would like to know for sure what the rules are ahead of time so we can plan our travels accordingly. Personally, I've been told very clearly by the GGL line the opposite of what we're now seing at ba.com, so it will be hard to argue with BA if they decide to "fix the computer error" leading to an increase in thresholds later on.

Currently I'm looking at planning some trips for this fall, and the choice of whether to pay for them with cash or avios relies almost entirely on whether I will have a use for the tier points, which in turn relies almost entirely on what the thresholds actually end up being.
