Since it was an actual error on Amazon's part, I'm trying to get them to cancel it and send the money back to my account so I can withdraw it.
Update in case anyone runs into this bullhonkey in the future: Amazon's going to unwind the gift card and mail me a check for $1k. They say it could take up to 5 weeks but hopefully will be quicker.
