I live in Florianopolis. This statement is not fully accurate. beginning of april till mid april, we have weather in the 80+ degrees F (highs). So you get lot of beach days in April. You wont have the masses of tourists you have for new years, carnaval and the "summer", but that also means traffic is bearable, you can get into restaurants and clubs and prices are not sky high

Not the beach days of jan-march where temp can be too hot
