Just last advice - in case of such a long delays, missed flights, wheather interruptions of hotels cancelation cost , missing or delayed luggage I strongly suggest you to pay for air ticket by Credit Card with travel insurance package. I have a good experiences with cost re-imbursment for the credit cards like Citibank PL (with travel incurance package) or Multibank (Aquarius or World Signia). They offer relally great packages of travel insurance.
Must also confirm other FT'ers: Air France did their job properly. The rest is just aviation life. It just happends when you travel by air.
