Not really a big difference in my book for service but it is the perception that they are giving a global first service in a business first cabin.
Making it appear that the pmCO service is better then the pmUA service.
As I have been told many times that it is one airline and that this is United airlines(my credit card is still billed as Continental airlines BTW) that they are still two separate airlines who don't know what they are doing.
They usually don't provide soup on 2 cabin BF. But you will have the individual table setup instead of the trays on 3 cabin BF and the appetizer/service cart instead of the galley cart. Also drinks poured usually in the galley versus at your seat from the galley cart.
