It also is a former Ramada that has been renovated, and is quite nice. There is quick access to the Autobahn that goes through the Black Forest (toward Singen), and Nagold, Tübingen, and Reutlingen are in easy driving distance. Don't overlook Rottweil, either -- a beautiful town.
I'm sorry, but I will disagree, at least on the terms of the property being "renovated". I frequently stay at this hotel, as I visit Boeblingen (Patch Barracks) several times a year. I've stayed in their Business, Executive and Junior Suite rooms.
All rooms are aged and worn. As of October 2013, the rooms still have CRT televisions with their 'Welcome screen' burned into the display. The carpets and furniture are clean and cared for, but definitely well-used. Don't get me wrong, the property is extremely clean and the staff is personable, but it truly feels outdated.
In terms of the lounge, it's 'OK', nothing more than light hors d'oeuvres and a limited drink selection beyond beer and wine.
The fitness room leaves a lot to be desired. It's similar to the size of one you'd find in a FFI, except the A/C never works.
If the pool interests you, it's decent once you figure out how to get there. It requires you to go to the 2nd basement level then take a spiral staircase up a half-level. But several days during the week they must partner or share the facility with a local elementary school, as between 10AM-12PM, you'll find 10-15 children using the facility. As a hotel guest, you're welcome to still use the pool, but it's definitely awkward.
Anyway, regardless the issues above are small and for the Sindelfigen area, it's hard to find a better hotel in that immediate area. But if you have no reason to be near there, I wouldn't recommend the property.
