High-wealth does not necessarily correspond to high tax brackets. Consider the (in)famously wealthy Mitt Romney who paid an effective 13-14% on his (federal) taxes. That said, he certainly paid a higher rate than I did last year -- and MSP is right, taxes should be factored in. Hopefully we don't start getting taxied on compensation for IDB/ VDB (kidding).
