As an avowed fan of AirBnB, I'd be pouncing on this in London - there's such a number of interesting places listed these days, and I have a number of contractor friends who swear buy it when working in London.
While King's Cross is up-and-coming and a good transport hub, the area's general seediness is not fully gone. Nothing to be overly concerned of - it's certainly not the place it was 30 years ago - but do be aware.
Thanks for the update and for the vote for AirBnB- I was thinking somewhere around King's Cross as there have been such a number of nice flats built or restored there particularly in the last few years that I thought it could work well. If you have any suggestions of areas or even an AirBnb operator you can recommend- would be very much appreciated.
I also find the areas of Hackney and Shoreditch as well as some of the renewed parts of Dalston interesting- somewhere which is not too gentrified and feels lived in as opposed to the caretaker areas of London which can be quite boring (and empty) now.
