Best routes on UA would be PEK/PVG-EWR (Flights: UA 88 (PEK) & UA 87(PVG)).
Non stop flights on a 777 with BusinessFirst lie flat seats.
Both flights leave China in the afternoon and arrive in New York/Newark in the afternoon as well.
Once in Newark, it's very easy to get to New York City by train, taxi, car service, airport express bus.
You can get Business class with 4 different options:
1. Buy the tickets in business.
2. Upgrade with GPU
3. Upgrade with miles (and co-pay depending on your fare class)
4. Upgrade with cash.
