Week in London- airbnb, hotel or ?
Hi,
Frequent FT contributor- first time to this forum. My parents have asked me for my help looking for a hotel in London or airbnb or another option (?)- they want to stay for a week in May. I am a frequent visitor to London although all the options I have suggested to them they say are too expensive or not what they are looking for. Normal problem I suppose. I think a good option at, around, or under 1000 GBP for 6 nights would work for what they want. It is just the two of them and they know from other visits to London that a room can be very small and they are OK with that as long as it is clean and in a good location.
They are looking for something close to a transportation hub- I was thinking somewhere around Kings Cross etc as there are a lot of newer or refurbished properties springing up around there and the area is very central and usually has quite reasonable price points.
No chains if at all avoidable.
I have looked through this thread- if anyone has an idea or two to contribute it would be really appreciated- and I am also especially interested if someone has experience with airbnb or similar.
Thanks kindly for any insights, advice, commentary, or anything to assist with insight in this request.
