I check the folio for accuracy while I brush my teeth. If there's a problem I deal w/ it at the front desk. If not, then I call the FD & tell them it's fine/I'm checking out.

For those who say employers are going to e-folios for expense reports, that may be true in larger corps but it certainly isn't true with a lot of mid & smaller size ones, nor is it true for those who are self-employed & who have to submit receipts to clients.

The other reason for a paper folio is there have been some reports (dif chains) on FT that if you do a prepaid rate & then don't have any other charges, that for some reason the stays/nights/points don't post & then you have to spend time w/ hotel chain program cust service & hotel getting it credited. Having a paper folio helps with that.

Cheers.
Often the bill under the door is just a snap shot what the final bill is going to look. The final morning usually has additional charges adjusted onto the final bill. I don't mind the bill passed to me under the door overnight, but it's going to likely change anyways in the morning by the time I comb through it. So I think it truly is a waste if paper and effort when the customer is going to review the charges with the hotel prior to checkout anyways.
