In my book BA should offer own metal domestic (including Ireland) connections from the two main BA hubs in London, the choice of having to shelp from one airport to another after a longhaul arrival from SYD to get your domestic flight is quite pathetic, just like the fact that the furthest southwest BA now flies is LON, hey yes im bitter and twisted !!

Purely my own opinion.
Have an independence vote and then lobby for a route as a European capital?

(Though a few capitals don't get service - eg Reykjavik)
