This will be for two of four nights in Barcelona - the other two nights will be at the W. This hotel appears a little cheaper and newer and more contemporary than the Renaissance. If you are speaking of the Renaissance in Pau Claris/Consejo de Ciento, it was also refurbished a short time ago.
Before joining Marriott and Hilton, the Renaissance(Diplomatic) was a sensibly better hotel than the Doubletree(Alexandra) and I guess it is still like this.
