From what I understand you definately can NOT transfer TY points to AA miles. Frankly, I would get rid of TY Points. I called them when they closed my debit 1:1 card from my checking accont. I asked them how many TY points would it cost to get an internatioonal first class ticket to europe. I said I am used to paying 125,000 AAdvantage points for this kind of free ticket. They said 1 Million TY Points. I have only seen one use for them through one of the best bloggers out there, an Indian guy who wears a bow tie. He uses them for very god prices on rental cars in such places as Hawaii. Other than that, cat litter liner is always good. LOL. Really, so many better products out there with much more bang for the buck. If I am wrong adn you can 1:1 with AA, then I apologize for the unkind words profusely. I don't think I am, however.
I'd try to see if Citibank would product change with a new application and move the line over (perhaps if you have had open a while leave $500 on it open just to keep average age of accounts better.
