I've never stayed at a private villa, only in hotels...but it's hard to imagine service being any better than some of these top hotels. It's easy to imagine it being worse or even sub-standard from what you expect.
From a service standpoint, it can be better if you have chef, nanny, etc., with the villa. But we aren't big users of the services at luxury hotels. I tend to book activities and restaurants on my own most of the time. And the villa concierge will usually do the same for us if we need them to.
For us it really comes down to space and privacy when we are traveling with the kids. To get the equivalent space and privacy at a villa linked to a luxury hotel usually is 3x+ the cost of a private villa. For the extra $20k for a week I can buy a lot of service if I wanted to I suppose.
Also I looked online at Beaches and $10k was apparently too low of an estimate - I saw $23k for a week in a 3br condo at Beaches T&C. For 23k I can have a gorgeous 3-4+ br place in St Barths or Mustique and money left over for great meals out every night. Not sure how they have any takers.
