We are planning an epic trip to Europe in June/July 2014, but are 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 8). My question: how strict are Hyatts in enforcing the maximum guests per room?

FYI, we are planning to stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin, Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee, Grand Hyatt Cannes Hotel Martinez and Hyatt Regency-CDG.

I see that most rooms have a max of 2 or 3 guests...

I also plan to use GP points for these rooms, and trying to keep them at the basic room level (not suite level). I am also GP Diamond, if that helps at all.

Thank you all for your responses, in advance!

They are not that strict about enforcement after check-in, but even later the issue will be that adequate bedding/bed space and towels and toiletries are unlikely to be adequate IMO.

Other than the Hyatt Regency CDG, expect problems absent contacting the hotel well in advance to try to arrange for four guests. And even there, I suggest contacting the hotel to see what they can do. Except perhaps at the Hyatt CDG, it will most probably require paying more, but it's worth it not to show up and end up in a pickle of a situation.
