Therefore it is very clear that Aeroplan redemption tickets are not covered. So you were "lucky" and should not count on it in the future.

With respect to Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance, please refer to my earlier post #1133 and more specifically page 24 of the Policy that came with the card. Aeroplan Reward tickets are not covered.

Actually, all FF programme redemption tickets are not covered, not just Aeroplan.
Same definitions are included in AerroplanPlus Gold card, so are Aeroplan reward tickets covered in this case if paid by an appropriate card?
