DL planned on upgauging a slew of flights to/from DTW to larger regional jets and mainline equipment, but then recently decided ATL needs that equipment more, and the schedules went back to what they were... except that some of the markets that lost frequency in upgauging never re-gained it.
Some exceptions remain -- MDW went from 6xCRJ and will retain 5xCR7, but the 717 are completely gone from DTW soon, and they had planned on a lot (something like 50 movements) this summer. DTW-PHL will continue to see CRJ service while Gatorscreek, GA gets the 717 to ATL... which is amazing considering that many of the ATL flights to small markets like CRW upgauged to mainline haven't proven themselves to justify such move, even though more cheap tickets are being sold...
