Precisely what travel insurance is for. Best option as others have said is to try to resolve it with the hotel. You may also want to look into the credit card benefits of whatever card you used to book the flight. There's a small chance that it has some sort of built in insurance that might cover this.
For example the Chase Sapphire Preferred has a trip interruption/cancellation benefit built in. I know it can cover expenses incurred as the result of a delay, but I'm not totally sure about reimbursing an expense you already incurred (one night hotel) but then were not able to use because of the delay.
