Check-in luggage rule on Domestic Jpn flight connecting from Intl flight
I believe it was do-able last time I did this, but would like to update the info.
When a passenger is arriving on ANA international Award ticket flight (not code share, its NH flight) to Narita, and the passenger is connecting to onward Jpn domestic flight, what is the rule on the check-in luaggage if the domestic portion is on a separate ticket?
Unfortunately the award seat for the domestic leg from NRT was sold out and the passenger has to either buy a separate ticket, OR transit thru HND (which the passenger wishes to avoid).
Does the international luggage allowance rule applies to this domestic flight?
Although there will be two separate tickets (Intl leg and the domestic leg), I was under impression that the luggage can be checked-in with domestic flight free of charge (1st one, economy, 23kg).
Am I correct? Appreciate any reply. Thank you.
