Being recyclable is not better for the environment UNLESS the item is actually tied to a recycling program. The press release is not clear on this . . .

ALL airline trash is sorted after it's removed from the plane to recover the aluminum cans, plastic bottles and non-disposable service items that inevitably end up in the trash.
