I read the Simple FAQ and it turns out that USPS MO mobile deposits post within 1 day, and funds are fully available (vs. several business days with other MOs).
ACH xfers are allowed and free. Bang... two waltz steps into my MS checking acct (which already experiences several MO paper deposits per month). This'll just look like direct deposit.
USPS $1k MO costs $1.60. Adds $0.90 to the equation (vs. WM MO), but is well worth it, IMO.
Unrelated side note: Their marketing & packaging team should get some kudos, for adhering to their namesake. It's hard to get more spartan than Apple products, but Simple succeeded. ^
I agree 100% and they actually want money order deposits. Through the amount of referrals I've given (I guess it's a lot??) I've gotten to know a few CSR's pretty well and they encourage MO's because it allows them to release the money quicker (which of course makes a happier client).
Their product and customer service is top notch and always available. Not to mention there are so many Allpoint ATMs it's hard to believe that I'll ever pay an ATM fee if I need to withdraw for whatever reason.
I have a feeling this is the beginning of a great relationship!
