Dear All,

I closed all my banking account in the US since back home and I have received a cheque from AA in US fund today due to some travel disruption. I doubt I can deposit locally or incuring huge service charge, anyone knows if the following options is possible?

1. I recall US check is transferrable if the original owner sign the back? (or I missed something, it is 10+ years since I write US checks)? if so I can sign the check and mail to my friend in US to cash it?

2. Can I just go into any bank when I travel in US next time and cash it?

3. Can I use it to settle future AA ticket purchase?

4. Maybe out of AA Forum, but I recall SPG Elite members can cash check at hotel counter?

Any thoughts are welcome, Thanks a lot!
