For those that care, Jimmy is just a VP and Martin was an SVP. They likely have moved the role from being SVP level to VP level. Jimmy is in his late 30's and was previously a Managing Director for only 2 years, so he couldn't have been promoted directly to SVP. While he is sUA he has only been with the company since 2007. A lot of the people who joined the company post ESOP/BK have a different mindset than those who joined before (both good and bad - older sUA management tended to be be very bureaucratic and defeatist, but really cared about the company and its core principles, newer sUA management tended to be very smart and more willing to get things done, but often at the sake of what was realistically possible, especially given the old sUA culture). Previously he was a consultant (like many 2007-2010 sUA hires) for Booz Allen. He is a native Chicagoan.
