I'm a long term lurker on the forums and a first time poster! I've just booked two CW seats via an Avios redemption with a 2-4-1 voucher to the Caribbean next December. This is in no small measure to the advice I've read here (thanks!) and on the headforpoints site.
My question is this.... In my enthusiasm I booked via the BA website my girlfriend via her nickname 'Georgie' when on her passport shes 'Georgina'. In the box for 'All given names (as shown on passport)' I've given her proper name as per passport but it still shows as Georgie in the main name box.... do I need to worry about this? Its a minor point and I don't want to phone up for a name change knowing that name changes are not possible on a redemption. Any advice greatly appreciated!
I'd give BA a call and ask them to amend the name. It might cause a check-in agent to refuse to check you in because of an ID mismatch. It is a simple change.
