I never compared Maikhao Dream Villa Resort & Spa to Trisara or Amanpuri. I had prefaced it by saying I have never stayed at either of the latter.
I simply provided a different option in Phuket, and one that is good for families. On surface, Maikhao Dream Villa is about the same price as Trisara - but you get two bedrooms for that price. Granted, it's not in the greatest location (but that also makes it rather remote), but this is a good place for kids.
