Flew home from Dubai yesterday in CW. At the airport, only one CW desk open, resulting in a far bigger Q than economy. The Wi Fi in the lounge didn't work at all, so i was completely unable to send a few e-mails that i really needed to till i was back in the UK.

On the way out my food was awful, horrid unfresh salad, beef that was so tough i genuinely wasn't able eat it. Thankfully i had some superb chilli con carne in the lounge before boarding (although there was no dessert option at all, no chic of any description). Food was much better on return leg, but i went for options that required no cooking at all, so unsurprising.

Competitors have crept up and perhaps over taken BA in the air and now on the ground, at least away from T5, BA's offering is pretty poor. Inspired by the 'i cheated and i liked it' thread, i've made the decision to stop flying with BA and experiment a little. So by the end of this week, i'm booking either a Business return to Hong Kong with Cathay or Virgin for end of Oct - seats i would have booked with BA.

These seats cost a lot of money and if another airline is doing everything better, then my should i continue to give my loyalty to BA?

Anyone else feel the same?
