Thumbs down Credit Card expires before flying - what next?

I am travelling during a period when my credit card expires. I have just been to the bank to explain this and they said they will extend the expiry date on my card, but the 'new card' won't arrive for another week.

Presumably this new card will have a different card number, as well as a different expiring date?

So what happens to the 2 flights I have already booked with SQ and KE?

The card I booked those flights with will soon be invalid, so what's the point in bringing it to the airport?

Do they just check my name to see if it matches the passport, if so should I bring along my old card (which is the one I made the booking with and paid them with) even though I know it's invalid and now have a newer one which I used to pay for all future flights in my itinerary?

I am thinking I may have to phone SQ and explain, and maybe ask them to change it manually? But KE I guess I would have to cancel and then rebook because I have never been impressed with their customer service skills over the phone.
